This is a 3D Printing project which I had the honor to work on, the 3D reproduction of the painting of the Catalan modernist painter Ramon Casas (Barcelona, 1866-1932) "Tandem" . Was a big chalenge to catch the original mood of the painting, being true to its style
Original Painting: http://www.epdlp.com/cuadro.php?id=144 (http://www.epdlp.com/cuadro.php?id=144)
Will be reproduced on 3D Printing
Mud material is available in the Keyshot Cloud ;)

This looks awesome Nacho. One of your best works up to date IMO. The detail both in the sculpt and in the material is astonishing. Great great work.
Great work, Nacho! +1 with Nico on this being one of your best. Your sculpting skills are very classical, and your lighting setups always look so photographically realistic. Do you use combinations of HDRI and physical lights?
Cheers,
Eric
Thanks NM-92 Details on the sculpt were a bit limited for the 3d printing resolution and resin casting, but I'm quite happy with the results, here you can see an example:

Thanks Eric!
Nico?? what you mean?. Yes I used to combine HDRI and physical lights on most of my renders

Glad to meet you Nico!
Top class!
Really beautiful work with amazing details. Right now you have a new fan:P
Have you ever tried sculptures in plasticine?
Regards!
Thanks Andrzej!! Yes I made several plasticine sculptures long time ago
Neat! I'm shopping for a high res 3D printer. What did you print your guy on? I've almost narrowed my search to the Formlab Form2 printer.
Thanks!
Bill G
Hi Bill, this Project was printed with a Solus3D http://www.reify-3d.com/ (http://www.reify-3d.com/) It's a great printer for small and médium scales with a high resulotion, up to 10 microns on Z axis. If you need to print big figures or pieces the Form2 is a better choice
I think this is great Nacho - These last few posts show that you are not only a super ring/jewellery designer but that you are a very capable 3D generalist too. It's so good to see these changes and it gives me a whole new perspective on you and your work!

Wow, I nerver thought you can print such detailed models with a 3D printer. Amazing times!
I thought all prints have this quality:

It's just a matter of money, but the Solus3D has great quality-price ratio

Lovely sculpt. The style is spot on!
Materials and renderings looks awesome as well.
Thank you Esben! proud coming from you ;)
Great work indeed, Nacho! Thanks for posting the printed results as well. Along with pizzalover, I had no idea that you could get that kind of 3D print quality these days either.
Thank you Chad , yes nowadays you can get profesional results with low cost printers

you can actually use evaporative alcohol / acetone methdo to smooth out the layered 3d prints that have the edges, youtube and google around, you might find some interesting solutions for those jagged edges :)
Yes that process is necessary when you use such kind of printers, but on scale figures printings for profesional manufacturing is not feasible
