Testing out HDRI and backdrops - here are 2 final renders of the ship in black and one city scene, cheers :)
Nice! Funny when I was a kid my uncle Tony used to call me Strunzo.
I like it! Kinda reminds me of a crossover between the futurama spacecraft with a touch of fallout 3.
Thanks mate ;D I liked Fallout, was a fun game, I love Art Deco and retro
I love that!!!
Awesome ship!
Yes this is very nice work!
Hiya, thnaks guys :)
Nice work, I like it.
Welcome to the forum Strunzo. That ship is just perfection. Love the black version.
Cheers mate, I had fun making this one :) learning curve on Keyshot but great :)
Sheesh! These are great, and I love the black ones! This is what we were promised on the covers of Popular Science Magazine back in the 1950's, and I'm still waiting!

Don't worry folks... I'm working on it!
Love your concept Strunzo. I think your concept and model deserves better renders!
Nice work
Ed
Id love to know how to perfect the renders, any hints or tips are most welcome edwardo ;D
i think you need to work on the materials a bit - add some detail, maybe panel lines and rivets etc, and maybe add some dirt/scratches/grunge etc. Its a great concept and model!
Hiya, I had another go at applying some different materials to give the ship a more older used look, let me know what you think, cheers
I like it, it is less plasticky and toy-like this way.
yea, these are WAY nicer!! Nice work
very nice!
Thanks guys, it was worth the extra effort, I am going to make up a sky pad or a hanger next to see how she looks under different lighting, cheers
Your materials & textures look great! I would suggest trying some different lighting environments, this scene could use a little punch of some more dynamic lighting :)
Really good looking images though, looking forward to more!
Thanks Richard - I would love some hints or settings if you have any :)
Just sharing a work in progress - landing pad, trying the lighting again and new landing pad
Whoah, those are looking super! Your move to an environment with a sky instead of the studios really helps the metal pop; seeing the correct reflections of the environment on your model was the perfect move :)
Really neat, and it's fun watching your progression with this.
Suggestion- since it's high in the atmosphere, I would think the shadows would be quite harsh and sharp? This may require a comp, with this wonderful HDR, and another that throws hard shadows.

Cheers for the feedback, I never actually thought about the shadows, particularly in space, good call out and something to learn, I will play around and see what comes up :)
