Title: Network Rendering slaves running out of memory
Post by: DonChunior on September 03, 2015, 05:17:06 AM
Especially at "longer" (means durations of some hours) renderings with Network Rendering, we recognized, that the memory of the slaves is slowly growing and growing.

All our slaves have 16 GB of memory.
When the rendering starts, usually not more than 30 to 40 % of the memory are allocated.
Then, while the rendering process is running, the utilization of the memory is growing very slowly.
But after some hours nearly all 16 GB are allocated and swapping to the disk gets started. And at this point the utilization of the CPU breaks down!  :(

For us it seems, the the software has a little memory leak, which is the reason for the slowly growing utilization of the memory.
