Camera changes position in the Render window when I click render?

Is it possible that you have at some point checked the "do not show again" on the dialog that asks whether to reset camera?
If you have, then whenever you try to render with an unsaved camera, it will reset to the saved state.
You can reset the setting, and make the dialog appear again in Edit > Preferences > General > Restore all messages and warnings.
Not that I'm aware of and the camera is locked. I usually set my preferred camera view fairly early on and lock it, then to move around and edit I use the free camera and once ready to render I select my render camera.
