Title: Interior Lighting - IES Cones
Post by: sir.orange on September 07, 2016, 12:41:39 AM
Hi there,

I m mostly rendering interior scenes. I do very hard to adjust the cones of my spot lights as there is just a big mess of orange cones. The mess makes it nearly impossible to see the cone moving when I adjust positions and angles.
Is there a solution I just don t know not to lose track? Turning off all other objects is not a solution as i need other objects refering to the IES cone.
...Highlighting the complete cone would be nice!?

hmm, this should be improved. Maybe you can turn off the cones in live render window (L key) and move the selected light sources in the geometry view?

hope that helps a bit

what do you mean with geometry view?
I turn on/off the cones and select the ones to be adjusted in the scene tree, so I always need to de-select the cones surrounding. very time consuming  :-[

The geometry view is capable to select the light source. The screenshot should explain itself.
