Me as well Philippe, 450 BHP and 0-60 in 2.9 seconds for the race version... would be an amazing drive :)

Yes, I kinda figured. Still, it can be challenging enough sometimes to find the correct corresponding brightness/contrast/intensity settings to make it match perfectly. Or maybe it's just me.

You're right it can be challenging - you've got to hit that 'sweet spot', this is my first car render though, in KeyShot anyway, so I'm still learning too... :)
J
Amazing work..
Thanks Ivan
Here's a rear shot, my personal favourite :)
J
That's a smashing group of renders J - For a KeyShot cherry popping vehicle rendering session I would go so far as to say awesome job man :)
Martin
Cheers Martin :)
Wow, nice renderings.
The backplates are very nice. :)
Thanks Gianluca, much appreciated... :)
J

It's a keeper
Tim

Quotewhere can i get the hdri/backplate
You will need to purchase it
Seriously nice! I haven't seen an automotive post by you before, then... POW! Some of the nicest Iv seen, but I expect no less from you. Bast@@d!
Whats with the avatar, Muammar? ;D
Cheers Edwardo, I don't feel comfortable rendering cars, but once you get into it, it's pretty addictive. It's also taught me to be a lot more tolerant about other people's work as I now realise how difficult it is to get something even approaching realistic...
QuoteWhats with the avatar, Muammar?
Lol, somebody kindly pointed out to me that I had despot-like personality issues... so I thought I would embrace it ;D ;D
Although a dead dictators likeness as my avatar is probably taking it too far ;)
J
Very very nice! 8)
nice car and great renderings too
Thanks Arian :)
J
Great renders! The first is amazing! :D

Another couple of renders in a different environment - again using matching HDR and Backplate
Ohhh, top work, mate! :D
One question, how you did the flare effect ? :)
Thanks Gianluca :)
The flares were created in Cinema 4D, rendered out and composited using Photoshop
J
Created .. ? What you mean ? :)
Cinema 4D has a lens flare builder (of sorts) built into it. I rendered out onto a black background and composited with the KS render using screen blending mode.
Hope that helps
J
Ahh, i never used C4D, but i think i understand.
Thank you :)
Great work J, as always. I really must look into C4D - its quite cheap and seems to do so much (Im still trying to decide what platform to start subD/poly modelling in)
Also, this lotus looks like right good fun!!
Cheers Ed, I'm not a modeller as such, but I know you can't go far wrong with C4D, or perhaps Modo ?
Yes, I would gladly lose a bollock to have a 'go' in the 3-11, I owned an old Elise 1.8 2DR years ago, it was mighty quick, but somewhat lairy ;)

I'm a SolidWorks user and have just began using MODO. C4D is on my list eventually, but I got MODO when they ran a really good deal a few weeks back. If you've got any questions, just holler. I've shared some of my thoughts in regard to easing into/learning MODO on my blog: willgibbonsdesign.com (http://willgibbonsdesign.com)
Cheers.
