I'm running Alibre and I cannot get Keyshot to import anything. It does not even show any options other than BIP.

can you be a bit more specific (i.e. what licence and version you run, output options of your cad package etc...)
I am not familiar with your cad package, but I am sure it should export step and iges files which are normally very easy to digest for Keyshot. with the right settings you can even import your file structure (layers etc.) into Keyshot!
maybe a screenshot on what you are trying to do may help!

AFAIK, an OEM version (Alibre, Solid Edge, ...) is limited to its CAD system and only the features of the HD license. (https://buy.keyshot.com/pages/third-party-options)
So you should use the Alibre plugin for transfer the geometry.
