Few months back I saw the pic of this watch in some advert and really loved it, I just had to try and recreate that...
First render is my recreation of that pic, and the other two I made just for fun :)
Model done in: Solidworks 2010
... and here are some shots from solidworks:
Stunning work ! The detail is unbelievable.
Thanks for sharing.
It's a keeper.

As a fellow SolidWorker, I have to say- GREAT JOB! Not easy stuff, even though it looks it. The stiching is super!

Thank you guys, im glad you liked it! :)
@speedster: nice to hear that, even now I just cant believe how much of my free time it ate.
As for stitching, "curve driven pattern" saved the day ;)
Amazing skills!! I just checked out Hublot's website. You guys should check it out. Really cool.
Thank you Egon!
Just saw their website... :o
They got some very cool designs, especially in King Power collection.
Awesome - I love the detail. Now you need to animate it ;-)
Tiho
Impressive, the detail is amazing ;D, just a suggestion in the first image the way you paint the back is very steep, maybe you should take away the spotlight with another tool in PS.
Nice work
Dan
@ Thomas: Thank you! As for animation, who knows.... ;)
@ Dan: Thank you! You are right, i will fix that.
@ Dan: Hope this is little better:
Awesome .. I want one !! .. (or at least I would if I had the funds for it ;) )
Perfect renderz !
Having said that i'm really a watches enthusiast, this model is stunning and rendering in ks too!
Can i ask you where did you find the reference pics?
Good work.
@ Philippe: Thank you!! Ha ha same here :'(
@ 0utsider: Thank you! Ive found the pics on google and some videos of similar models on Youtube,
but that was not an easy thing, because there is small number of good images that show
the mechanism on the bottom side of the watch. In 2 days of googling i managed
to find 6 or 7 good images to start with.
WOW, nice model and render
Thank you, glad you like it!!
I think your black material (used for the band and on the side near the dial) is a bit too light. It looks a bit too grey. Great Renders. If I were you I might try and make it look a little less perfect either by adding tiny scratches and dirt/dust using maps. Looks stunning great job!
Thank you Zander!
I was a little bit sloppy with rubber band ;)
It will be fixed soon.
Looks great! Excellent work! :D
