Hey Guys

My team has had some issues showing off laminar flow of fluid in a 'diagram' way in our product renders. I noticed this gentleman (https://www.behance.net/hoyoung) has nailed what we wanted to achieve here https://mir-s3-cdn-cf.behance.net/project_modules/1400/82364420992979.562fa3bf9ec0b.jpg (bottom two images with blue lines).

Dyson also does this very well:

I know this can (sort of) be achieved in photoshop, but do you know how this could be achieved in keyshot with a 3D object?

Or if you had any other ideas?

Thanks a bunch guys

Hi Revilo,

KeyShot does support Curves through the Maya, 3ds Max and Cinema 4D plugins.
The benefit of using curves is that in KeyShot you can apply a Gradient procedural texture to them with the gradient type set to 'Curve'. This will create a gradient that flows across the length of the curve. I assume that would be quite helpful in your application.
