I had a client that needed new renderings for their line of outdoor furniture that has a unique wire brushed texture to it. I tried looking online for a similar texture but nothing looked quite right. So, I went to the factory and took a bunch of high resolution photos. I needed to make a large tileable texture for the longer pieces, like the coffee table, so you wouldn't see to much repetition.

I combined these images in photoshop then used Bitmap2Material to create the various maps.

The client and I are very happy with how it turned out!

The last attachment is one of the photos I took from the factory.

Cheers!

in the first image, is the floor and glass partition all geometry, or is that a backplate?

I used a backplate image then added the ground and glass on top of it to add reflections. You may notice some extra reflections that shouldn't be there to the trained eye but most wouldn't notice and removing them would have taken more Photoshop skills than I have.

Great material work!
Thanks Esben! I learned a lot of what I know with the help of your tutorials. In fact I'm having a lot of fun playing around with your binoculars.
