Hi guys
This is our new printer ColorStream 3500.
The picture was rendered at a resolution of 60000 x 21000 pixel at 150dpi with 400 x 140 inch. We put it behind a real printer at an exhibition (shown in the next picture). It was only possible to render it in exr- Format. Then the banner was put in with photoshop.
x-treme-hi-res ... nice :D
How long did it render ?
Hi Philippe
The picture render time was about 15 hours with keyshot 2.1 and the exr file was then 1.6 GB in size.
Later I tried a lower resolution (72dpi) and then it was possible to render direcly into tif (1.8 GB).
Very impressive - thanks for sharing. I think this is the biggest rendering anyone has ever done.
Another solution is to use realtime render mode and set the time. I had just advised someone of this who did a rather large rendering for you guys!
That is a great looking image, and 60k x 21k is very impressive.
