Surface materials

I have created a STEP file from a Pro Engineer part that I want to Keyshot. I go into Keyshot but the different colourd surfaces haven't transfered from the file and so I can only put 1 material over the part. I need different materials over the different surfaces of the file. How can I get different materials on each of the faces?
(I have tries taking the .prt file over, but it has glitched so I had to use a STEP file)

The problem is that the STEP translator Pro/E doesn't respect color. Have you tried using the plugin? Download here: www.keyshot.com/plugins
