Title: Cylinder mapped label depth?
Post by: JGulliford on September 23, 2013, 10:04:59 AM
Hi, I have a label wrapped around a glass bottle using the cylinder mapping tool, but the label is projected onto the inner surface of the glass.

I'm aware of the 'depth' label property, but this isn't active and is 'greyed out' when in the cylindrical mapping tool, if I switch to another mapping method it becomes active again. Is this a bug or is there another way to get rid of the second label projection?

Many Thanks

Change the color of the inside (or outside) of the bottle before exporting to have separate control over the surface inside.

Or.... Create (offset) a surface a fraction of a mm outside the bottle to put the label on. This way you get full control over the material and finish of the label (foil/paper/inked/ embossed etc)

Oh yes, the good ol' offset surface trick... nice!  :D
