Title: Solitaire Ring
Post by: AtelierAngheluta on July 05, 2016, 03:49:39 AM
Hi all

Recent piece i did in zbrush, the cast turned out very nice, no time for finishing right now sadly. Had a bit of a hard time with the stone, not entirely satisfied, but ok for now. Let me know what you think.

Nice work!
In my opinion the background looks a bit confusing! Not sure its a wall behind your ring or a horizontal surface with the ring on it!
I also suggest to try a little depht of field.
Check out this quick tip in the link below, might help!

Good luck!

Thanks for the comment I will try. The background is a groundplane, any idea why it looks like a wall, i was puzzeled by this myself. And thanks again for commenting.

Nice render, nice ring. I think if it were lying down on the ground plane, as in real life, and a change in camera angle it would be more realistic. It may need some perspective and/or depth of field to get away from the "wall" feeling.
