Post by: oxfordlad on February 25, 2015, 10:37:00 PM
ok I am thinking og getting Keyshot to do renders mostly as a bit of fun but might progress further. My question is I have a PC with Creo running but also have a Mac, which would be better to put keyshot onto?

Just after thoughts and ideas really

Depends on which machine has faster CPUs and more threads.

If you use Creo go with the PC. Then you can export to keyshot easily with the plugin ;-)

I run KeyShot on a Mac, but I'm also able to use KS in Windows through Parallels (runs beautifully, I haven't needed Boot Camp in over a year).

I like the Mac side for some tasks and run KS on that OS part of the time, and when I want to model I switch over to Windows to get the plugin support.

Thomas is right about CPU & thread, but the Mac does give you the flexibility of either OS.
