Title: Insufficient permissions for internal downloads folder
Post by: jsternth on March 29, 2015, 05:34:10 AM
Getting this issue error after migrating to a new mac?  Permissions are the same as on previous mac that was not having any issues.  Have re-installed, issue remains.

Use finder to get to the path shown in the error, right click on the Downloads folder there, select 'Get Info' and at the bottom of the list are the Sharing and Permissions settings, click the padlock, enter your Admin password and adjust to suit the requirements. On my folder, it shows as all three user types having read/write permissions.

Or, use a terminal session and type 'sudo diskutil repairPermissions'
