Title: Kow Yokoyama Banana Boat
Post by: timdiaz3d on April 12, 2015, 05:02:15 PM
Inspired by the Kow Yokoyama design of the Banana Boat. This was done in 3ds Max, with the render and render passes done in Keyshot. Texture work done in Substance Designer and compiled in Photoshop.

Simply stunning modeling and rendering!  Thanks for the breakdown also!  Now...  how about a webinar or "Quick Tips" on how to actually use the passes in post.  That's always been a mystery to me, and I'm sure, many others.

Really nice modeling and renders as well.

I dig the look of the second image, though I feel that the pitch black background could use some color grading and/or a bit of gradient.

Thanks y'all. I would be happy to show a breakdown of the render passes if people are interested. Esben, I see what you saying and I agree. I'm a sucker for black backgrounds but it would add a TON more if I added a subtle background. Thanks for the feedback man, I do appreciate it.
