Title: Interior Mode Comparison
Post by: Speedster on May 11, 2015, 01:15:27 PM
Holy S#%t!  The new "Interior Mode" setting!  There's also "Product" etc. settings.

Lighting by a sphere set as "Area Light Diffuse", 0.000001 wattage.

No changes between the two renderings, just different releases.

Top image:  KeyShot 5, as I posted earlier on another thread.
Bottom image: KeyShot 6.  Five minutes after installing it!

But I am puzzled by the multiple staggered shadows in the KS6 image.

Hi Bill,

Great image! Just let the interior mode bake a little longer. That should get rid of the staggered shadows. You will probably need 64 passes or so.

Default rendering samples are set at 64 already, I notice.  It's not a time render, but a full-out render.

Let us know if the issue persists if you use more samples. They should go away.

1st image is 128 samples.  2nd is 256 samples.  But that seems excessive?  Also, it seems that each image gets progressively darker.

Thanks Bill. Can you share this scene with us at beta@luxion.com, so we can take a look?
