Title: Ford Mustang Boss 429
Post by: Alang7™ on August 08, 2015, 02:44:30 AM
Working on a new car. I spent time on matching the perspective, so, before that i start the rendering, i want ask you if it fit good with the backplate. :)

So, tell me guys ... do you like it ? :)

Use the concrete cast lines for blue and red axis, then use the door frame or gutter pipes for the green axis - Then you should be set :)

Angle is good, scale is a little off and needs a ground plane in there to trim off the tyres to make the car look as if it has some weight

What you mean ? I add a ground plane, and then ?

Open up its material options and set it to clip geometry below ground plane, then move the ground plane up n down to get the bottom of the tyres looking flatter :)

Yep looks better - needs scaling though - looks too large still. I would move the front wheels to that cast line in the concrete and then check the length of the car compared to the concrete slab it is stood on

Nailed it!  Maybe lighten the tires a VERY small amount, but that's just my opinion.  I've used this backplate before, and it can be very deceiving.  Good job!

That's a pretty good result Alan :)

As bill says that's a tough back plate to use, the cobble stones and the bricks along with the entrance way throw a very strange scaling conundrum - But you seem yo have handled it well.
