So we are unveiling a new product, that we need to be done and rendered in best quality as soon as possible.. Only problem is, my keyshot will not let me import the file.
The CAD Model was made in solidworks 2016, we have a SLDPRT. and SLDASM. files, however when i want to import them through dragging and dropping i get an error message that says; "Could Not Start Importer".
Why does this happen?? please help.
Not sure, but KeyShot may not yet support SW2016. There have been delays in the past that are not Luxion's fault.
An emergency work-around I have used is to save your Top Assembly as a Parasolid, then open it in an earlier SW version, like 2014 or 2015, if you have them. The x_t will retain any UV mapping. Save it and then import it into KeyShot.
Others may have additional options.
