Title: Clown Pass Fidelity
Post by: br3ttman on October 28, 2015, 01:07:22 PM
Hi All!

I haven't posted in a while, and I'm sorry that it's a rant.  I just love the clown pass functionality, especially when I need to do region renders to work out specific details.  However, my last clown pass was yellow on yellow and I couldn't get the magic wand in Photoshop to see the difference between the two yellows.  I had to manually select the parts with a lasso in Photoshop.  Fortunately, I have a nice Wacom tablet and could do it fairly quickly.  Still it was a couple minutes vs. a couple seconds with the magic wand.

Improvement suggestion:
1.  Better clown color randomization algorithms that prevent similar colors touching each other.
2.  Manual clown pass preview and color set up
