Title: KS6 - Adjust Pivot Point?
Post by: DarkEdge on December 26, 2015, 08:25:06 PM
In KS6 can we adjust where the pivot point is happening on a particular object? I have a door and I don't want it to pivot around its center but around where the hinges are.
Thanks!

Use the move tool, the you can select the doors pivot point from the list of objects in the drop down list :)

Technically the pivot point will be the edge of the door, not an actual part. So I can't manally adjust the pivot point, it has to be a part??

Depends on the style of the hinge, but most rotation on a door is through the pin going through the hinge, but yes it needs to be a part AFAIK.

Do you have the animation add on?  You can animate the door using the hinge as a pivot point object.
