Hi
I am an architect .had KS-3,-4 and 5. Never had any issue until this recent one with KS-5.
there is some strange clipping that curved glass causes to objects behind.
I model in Moi 3 and Rhino 5.
My Comp is Dell 5810 tower.
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU-E5-1630 v3
Graphics card Nvidia Quadro k 4200
I have tried FBX, OBJ, STEP but cliiping is allways there.
however recently i modelled a little experimental car and rendered in KS-5 and none of the above problems occur .
interestingly enough when i open the same model in KS-4 I HAVE NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.
So I am rendering at the moment my architectural models in KS -4.
I AM ON WINDOWS 7

is there anybody who can look into this matter?
thanks
Are you sure the geometry behind does not touch the glass ... even if 0.01mm sepparation between the 2 planes could maybe fix this. Give it a try.

no it does not touch it at all
Is the glazing "glass" single or two-sided?

thanks for response. Glass is not assigned as double sided. It just had thickness of 30 mm.
however similar clippings occur on another model I can't post. That model has no glass and clippings occur when i change perspective to 21. it looks like large ball of nothing in the middle. the problem is such that i have to resort back to KS 4 that works fine. it does not show this problem with the same model imported.
thanks
If you move the camera, does the clipping change ?
I just imported model as nurbs from MOI directly and clipping has not occured. I shall keep monitoring and posting outcomes.
thanks for all comments.
We solved this issue via Mail.
In this case the scaling of the model was wrong.(A factor of approximately 10000 to small)
By scaling the model up to a realistic size the clipping could be avoided.
