Title: Amd FX8350 vs FX9590 rendering speed
Post by: MiKL on December 30, 2015, 10:50:20 AM
I am currently using an amd FX 8350 for Keyshot rendering but I was thinking about buying an Amd FX 9590 I was wondering if there is much of a Keyshot rendering speed difference between a 4.7ghz Amd FX9590 compared to the 4.0ghz FX 8350? Both cpus have 8 cores but the 9590 is .7 ghz faster

Hi MiKL, I think the best way to find out is run the camera.bip benchmark at 4.0, then overclock your FX8350 to 4.5 if your cooler allows it. I updated jiyangs's table https://www.keyshot.com/forum/index.php?topic=5688.0 Also see this entry https://www.keyshot.com/forum/index.php?topic=10434.0. I understand you want to have the speed but just running FX9590 with the turbo running that actually bump the FPS occasionally, plus a upgrade from your current hardware. I think it will deliver but you may need a powerful psu, cooling system and consider the energy you might consume. Your upgrade will still be lower than buying a new machine.
