Hello,
I've been working for a while on and off with a joystick design for demo purposes in my job. The main goal is to show off concept design, refinement of the design, and eventually making it production ready, all within NX.
This guy was made using NX Realize Shape, and rendered using KeyShot . Some minor post with Photoshop.
REALLY sharp looking Magnus. Well done!

Thank you Josh! And thank you for sharing:)
Wonderful indeed... I have immense love for the second from last image. I'm even considering using it as my wallpaper, which, let me tell you is highly unusual for me.
Can I PM you ? or email ? :)

That's a mighty compliment, coming from one of the largest sources of inspiration in this community. Thank you!
Sure, just shoot me an e-mail whenever!
Edit: I feel a bit stupid saying this, bu I'm actually not quite sure how the PM-system works now since the website upgrade, so I would prefer mail.
You're welcome... and thank you too, I had no idea I was a source of inspiration, more like a source of constipation ;)
OK, I'll email you Magnus :)
Very good job!
Bravo!
Antoine
I have to agree, the second from last image is really amazing!
All of them are very nice. Good stuff Magnus!
Please stop improving so fast Magnus! :P
Looking super cool!
Nice and clean!
Beautiful renderings of a great design! But that's a given, of course!
It would also make for a killer sink faucet!

Thank you all! Really appreciate all the positive feedback:)

Haha, thank you Esben. Keep in mind that you are part of that "problem" you mention (damn good webinar).

Thanks Bill! I was thinking of the concept which can be utilized on a wide range of areas, and by that I mean from a simple desktop joystick mouse to a crane cockpit or something similar. A faucet never crossed my mind though. Great input:)
Saw this one on Instagram. That 2nd to last one is really my favorite. Awesome details there.

Thank you, Will! Much obliged.
The textures are so perfect. All close ups are full of detail. I see in some images that you are using DoF, that you mentioned on my post, am i correct ? It looks wonderful, i'm going to try it.

That is correct yes. Thank you! And good luck:)
Just a tiny update on this guy, inspired by Mr.Oxholms fabulous Cold&Warm lighting setup, and to celebrate a brand new 32" 4k screen inhouse. Got to love that workspace.
So, despite the risk of being repetetive, here's my first 4K render:
Wow...this is really superb, Magnus! Love your texturing, especially the detail in the ground material. Bravo!
Man...I just viewed this full rez...incredible!
Eric
Great stuff, Magnus! Glad to be a source of inspiration.
It is a shame that the highlight in the brushed material burns out just in the center. Maybe you can do a second pass with the lighting turned down a bit, render out just that troubled area and then mix it together with the original in photoshop?
Otherwise it is awesome!

Thanks for your ever great feedback Esben. I think this is my second strike on a burned out area. Let's not get to a third one.
Either way: I did a region render as you proposed, and tried to patch it to the best of my ability in photoshop. What do you think?
I can't notice any "patching lines", or seams, or anything. I think it's perfect.
Yeah, way better imo!

Well, there is kind of a dark..well halo around the spot there, but I think it works nonetheless. Thanks!
