Title: Paint Shine
Post by: lsingh@live.com on March 22, 2016, 04:51:16 AM
Hi All,

I am using the latest version of Keyshot, and a bit new to it. We normally design heavy steel equipment like winches etc. for ships and offshore vessels. When I render my product and set the material to Paint, the equipment is too shiny, which does not look realistic. Any advice on how to reduce the shine? Thanks in advance.

Regards,

LS

Hello,

Try giving it a bit a roughness (under diffuse color in the material's settings). It probably won't take much. Then, crank up the samples (little arrow beside "Roughness")to smooth it out, if needed.
