Post by: NM-92 on April 07, 2016, 02:43:44 PM
Hello everyone, tried to recreate an egg shell using the material graph.

The material looks good. I would apply some bumps for some imperfections.
Good work!

A little granularity via bump mapping or roughness would work wonders... other than that, nice passable eggs

I'd have a couple soft boiled with soy sauce, cayenne pepper and some brown bread soldiers... ;)

I did some eggs a couple of years back and have some textures/labels here that you can use :)

Diffuse material is no longer available since you can now create a speckled/spotted finish using KeyShot procedural materials

I did add two bumps via the bump add node, one for the coloured spots in the texture and the other one is a very subtle noise for the general surface of the shell. This last one is very very subtle, so i'll try to make it more noticeable. The material also have a low roughness value. Thank you all for your opinions.

Nicolas.

Cool, this is a different item. I'd echo the others' comment. Bump up the bump a bit and you'll be solid!
