Title: Rhino textures - best workflow - advice needed
Post by: rfollett on April 13, 2016, 12:32:52 AM
Working with a texture on the outside of a house and I want the bricks to all be same size but I have many different surfaces. What is best workflow to keep this simple? I want to do most of work in Rhino so that when I load in KS I don't have to keep resizing every single surface.

Thanks

Try applying the same colour inside rhino to all the surfaces that you want to keep linked within keyshot. For example, change the colour to all walls inside rhinoceros to red. When you import to keyshot, apply brick material to the red walls and they will keep linked and synchronized to the changes in the material.

Thank you for your help.. in the end I just make sure that all the walls are in same layer and I apply a box texture mapping to the whole house then when I open in KS it all seems to work ok..
