I just used Keyshot earlier this afternoon, and it worked and closed properly. I just went to render from Solidworks using the render plugin, and KS crashed immediately (before any startup screen).
So, I tried to launch KS by itself and it crashes every time. I've restarted my system Dell M6800, and still crashing.
Any ideas???
I guess that you had changed your settings and got a corrupt keyshot.xml file in your documents folder. Just rename that existing file or delete it. Then start KeyShot and you'll get a new keyshot.xml. But you have to set all your settings.

That was it! I had made a change to the interface for an animation demo I was giving at lunchtime.

I've discovered that if I go into preferences, under the interface section, and uncheck "Show in project material list..." then say OK when Keyshot asks me to restart, the keyshot.xml file gets corrupted every time.
I realize that I may have done this same thing earlier when I created the original thread. Does this do this for anyone else??
We'll look into it. I just tried it on Mac and it works as expected.
I can reproduce in 6.1.72 but looks to be fixed in 6.2

Thanks for confirming Rex. I looked in the updates section of the KS website, and Version 6.172 is the current version, correct?
I'm assuming 6.2 isn't officially released yet?
That is correct. It will be at least another week or so until it will be officially released.
