I didn't see much details on my cell phone - but - after first view I like the first render.
The second one needs some attention. E.g. the white reflections on the left top surface runs into the background color.
And the 'too clean mirror like polished' metal doesn't work on a wood floor. Cause there is no visual border between object and ground plane.
Another environment lighting with a higher contrast and tiny areas with less reflections would help. As well some imperfections and lovely details would push these on the next level.

Just watch the webinar with the watch from Esben Oxholm and impress yourself.

You have a good point to start - keep your head up

Simple and elegant model, nicely done! I would look into the floor texture on the final image. The scale of the wood planks make the tool look massive! Try increasing the size of the wood texture and adding an object in the foreground or middle ground to illustrate perspective. Love it!

Yep, in the last image, that's a 4 metre + connecting rod right there ;)

The first image is pretty nice though :)
