Title: Set default refraction index on import (or global refraction index)?
Post by: MikeSJ on May 16, 2016, 01:17:55 PM
When I import my OBJ files into Keyshot (6.1) all the materials are set to a refraction index of 1.5 by default. Most of my models do not have a lot of reflecting surfaces, and this results in me sometimes having to manually go through many dozens of materials, resetting the refraction index slider to its lowest setting. Very monotonous!

Is there a way to stop Keyshot applying this refraction index to all my materials, or is there some way to globally reduce the refraction index slider for all materials?

After the import you would usually apply materials inside KeyShot. Or are you mostly concerned about maintaining the color information?
