Title: Geometry-texture scaling mismatch?
Post by: jlang on July 19, 2016, 10:59:03 AM
hi-
Fairly new user here.
Modeling in Ashlar-Vellum Xenon, export .stp file, import to Keyshot and set units to inches. So far, so good. (although the size of my geometry shown on the Properties tab is crazy out of whack - 19.5 inch door said to be 499" wide).
Then need to make a change.  Change made in original Ashlar, export only the new geometry as .stp again. Import only the new parts, and they come in super tiny (Properties says the scale is 0.03 or so) - so I change the scale in the Properties tab back to 1.0, and that seems right.
But now, when I copy materials from other original parts onto the new ones, the scaling of the textures is way, way too large (like 100 times or something).
Keyshot seems like it's not recognizing something important about the scaling. Or maybe I'm missing something (?)

What version of KeyShot are you using? KeyShot 6?
