I would like to see the ability to move an object along a path, like so:

The transition goes from A to B.
Currently it goes along a linear path, as shown in Picture 1. It would be great if we could have the path run along an object, as shown in Picture 2.
This path could be also be custom shaped how we wanted, as shown in Picture 3.

In combination with creo parametric is this already possible (since a few KeyShot versions). This simple animations/mechanisms can be exported as fra-file and imported with the CAD data.

I was thinking of the application being native though so everyone could use it.
