What version are you using exactly (e.g. 5.1.234)? Also, are you using NR? If so, what NR version?

Try updating to the latest (Help>Check for updates...).  If that doesn't help, try using max time or samples and send us the scene to investigate: support@luxion.com

To save a ksp file:

1. Open your scene
2. Go to File > Save Package
3. Name your file

You can send the file securely via our WeTransfer: www.keyshot.wetransfer.com

I've had this issue with (beta) 6.2.105.  It's usually material related, but for me it also affects the backplate.  Rex suggested max samples or max time.  I ran a "full regular render" to determine time, and then chose 10 minutes maximum time (on 32 cores), and it rendered fine.  I know the KS Team is working on this.
