Just playing around with hair and fur in Cinema 4D and Zbrush
Geometry scaffold for the hair/fur was a simple sphere.
Made use of procedural gradients, curvature and ambient occlusion for texturing
After nearly 5 years of using KeyShot it still astounds me with some of the things it can cope with - the 'pussy hairball' mesh, after adding a couple of levels of subdivision in C4D ended up at 7.8 GB in size - and KS just ate through importing it in around 3 minutes and that was on a lowly quad core machine.
Go KeyShot :)
These are totally badass, John :)
