Title: Illustration style experiment
Post by: Speedster on November 03, 2016, 01:58:15 PM
I've been experimenting to create an illustration style for an upcoming client project, and decided to use my SolidWorks Chevy 327 motor as a test bed.  The actual project is similar, but I can't share it yet.

So this is a Photoshop blend of a straight rendering and a toon.  I dropped out the white background in Photoshop and used only the line work, with levels applied.

Still playing with it, but it's kinda neat, I think...

Forgot to mention that the "toon with shadows" is one of the styles we're looking at, which is why I included it.  Fine with me (or not), as it took about a minute!  One of the neatest materials in KeyShot!  It's the same material that I used on a Design Patent application that was accepted by the Patent Office!  No luck yet on Utility Patents.
