Post by: Hossein Alfideh on November 04, 2016, 10:12:10 AM
hey guys
I've been playing around with the Matgraph today. I thought it would be cool to make a pencil sketch looking shot!my goal was to get a pencil (B6) look ...
here is a single shot.hope you like it,tell me your Ideas  :)

Works for me - Might need some post for those inevitable pencil smudges

Very cool. Any way you can get the shiny/metallic look in the darker areas as happens when graphite reflects light? Also, if it's an observational drawing, can you adjust the camera to simulate the focal length of the average human eye? Maybe make the darks a tad lighter? Just trying to think of ways to push it.

It's a great image as-is.

thanks a bunch guys for the tips, I tried to apply them all except the camera thing that will mentioned, didn't quite get the point I think. :P
I've added a reflection in KS also some pencil smudges as Martin said which are visible in the reflected area, decreased the contrast and increased the overall brightness a little bit!
let me know your ideas  :)

Beautiful work, Hossein! Are you using Toon + Curvature node?

Thank you Eric, yeah that's exactly what I'm using here!I did the reflection part in keyshot too!
I've used the toon material as you said to get the sketch look and then tried the image as a label on a plane with flat material and used the following matgraph to make the reflections  :)
