Title: How much to charge for product visualization?
Post by: FREQUENCY on November 16, 2016, 08:03:43 AM
Hi, sorry I didn't know where to place this topic.
I am planning to use KeyShot to create a product visualisation
firm, how much are the usual rates for this in the UK?
I would be interested to know other countries as well.

Thank you. :)

Your question can't really be answered as it's too ambiguous, there are many things to be considered that need to be negotiated per job. I don't think I have seen anyone charging less than £35 per hour in the UK and I have seen some very reputable firms charging at least three times that figure.

Hi. I wouldn't say either that there is such a thing as a fixed priced.
It depends on a lot on factors like your experience, level of quality, reputation, how fast you are able to deliver, etc.

Also, there's the option to charge by the hour or offer a project price - which again depends on the model complexity, number of materials, detailing of materials, resolution, post production, etc.

I agree with TpwUK on £35 as minimum for freelance work in general.
