Title: Backplate reflection on the car body
Post by: fa2020 on December 30, 2016, 12:12:13 PM
Hi guys,
Is there anyway to apply reflection of the backplate over the car body when we are going to render a car scene?
In Vray I can do this. I can apply the ground reflection on the car not HDRI reflection. Of course HDRI is reflected on the other parts of the car. In this way, I can use backplates which don't belong to the HDRI used. But I cannot do the same in Keyshot. Is there such a feature in Keyshot?
Please help me.
Thanks.

What I do is import a ground plane, position it above or wherever, then apply the backplate or other image to it as a decal or label.  This will now reflect onto the model.  Of course it has to be out of the camera view.  Works pretty slick!

You can also add an image pin within your HDRI editor if you have the possibility.
