Title: Finding a duplicated model or part
Post by: Zvi on December 31, 2016, 09:03:18 AM
Is there an automatically way to find a duplicated model or part, which means that it is replicated the same place?

If you never changed the name of that duplicates', you can search for the # (instance name).

Hope that helped a bit

Thank you, but I'm lookink for a way of finding any duplicated object, and not a specific one.

Thank you, but I'm lookink for a way of finding any duplicated object, and not a specific one.

My thoughts were:
If I import any CAD data, I'll get the part names from modelling tool.
If I duplicate any part inside KeyShot, I'll get the instance with a # plus an iteration as post.
So if I search for the # with only part names search option, every instance shows up and will be marked. So I found every duplicate.

Otherwise the tool has to search for every 100% interference between two or more objects. And KeyShot has currently no interference check.

Hope I explained it correctly.
