Hey Everyone,
I've noticed this issue for quite some time now and It seems to be a strange glitch with label shadows and it only happens when I close Keyshot and try to reopen the same scene. I typically do a lot of packaging renderings that are in clear bags or clear plastic structures with labels/graphics with the product being visible. When I apply labels initially, the renderings turn out fine but as soon as I save and close kesyhot and re-open the same file, the shadows from the labels go crazy and turn everything behind it black. I have figured out that if I delete the label and re-apply it as normal projection it seems to reset the shadow and it works fine. It's very strange and I wonder if anyone else has had this same issue or any reccomendations?
Attached are 2 examples of before and after closing the program.
Hello,
What version are you using exactly (e.g. 5.1.234)? You can find this under Help>About.
Also, can you share the file with us? If so, please save a ksp file:
1. Open your scene
2. Go to File > Save Package
3. Name your file
Please send the file to: support@luxion.com
Best regards,
Chad
Sure thing! I'm using 6.3.19 currently. I've had this issue with Keyshot 5 also.
Attached is the packaged file. The setup isn't ideal but to save time I fake the product as a flat surface and apply an image as a label.
Hi
Try to enable Interior Mode.
I've have tried it with interior mode on and it does fix the problem but makes the render time significantly longer. I'm just trying to understand what is changing when I close and reopen the program that is causing the shadows to do that.
I think turning global illumination fix this issue.
