Title: Iron Man´s Helmet textures
Post by: Bernardo Lickfold on January 16, 2017, 04:40:35 PM
Hi guys,

After seeing the latest Esben Oxholm tutorial i decided to try out what is the Material graph and improve my keyhot skills. I took the Iron Man´s Helmet from grabcad.com (http://grabcad.com) and i started " beating" him. Basically the result needs to show how he gets after a battle.

So i added some textures but i'm not very convinced with the result, especially with the lights emitted by the eyes and in simulate some parts with the paint coming out which shows the metal underneath.

Any advice to improve this and make it more "real" ?

Thanks !!

Hey, i've done this too for practice purposes. First of all , check this model out, i think it's a bit more detailed that the one you're working on.

You can check out my thread on page 11 to see the final images i reached and there is also a screenshot of the material graph for you to understand a bit better how i created the material. Let me know if you have any questions.
