As the title says, it would be pretty awesome to add a bit of organization to the nodes in the material graph. Sometimes i add a little imperfection as a label and i don't have to use it anymore but it uses a lot of unnecessary space that you could save if in some sort of way you could collapse this "group" into smaller things. Something like the picture attached.
I would certainly welcome that :)

+1 and I wish that we can bring in some names to the nodes or to the node group.
And if the highlight color of the active node were e.g. light blue, it would be helpful as well.
And what does the mat graph experts say?
KeyShot 7.0 will have the ability to name individual nodes.
The position of nodes in the Material Graph will also be saved in the bip. This should help quite a bit for organization.
The other items are on our todo list. :)
