Title: Realtime Rendering Using Networked PCs
Post by: Chris B on March 07, 2017, 12:49:35 PM
Is it possible that KeyShot could use network rendering PCs to speed up its real-time rendering?  Instead of only processing the renders in the queue?  Would make setting up the scene, lighting, materials etc. much faster.  As well as real-time presentations.

Ideally would be able to select how many cores of the network are to be used for real-time rendering, versus how many would be left to process the images in the queue.

All I could find was this post from 2010 requesting it:

And this post from 2014 suggesting it might be coming soon:

This would be a screaming fast render experience .  And might help to sell more licenses (and more cores) of network rendering  :)

It is still in the pipeline. It is high on our list, but we can't give an ETA at this point in time.
