I'm working with large volumes of models of similar kind. The easiest way to keep track of these is by keeping them in alphanumeric order, and grouping.
However, if I group models that are already in order (eg grouping a family of screws to separate them from the rest of the models), they are thrown into random order inside the group.
If I Undo this, the models are removed from the group, but the order has changed yet again, for some reason.
Why does this happen? Is there a way to avoid this?
I posted about this almost a year ago with no response, and Keyshot still has this issue. I wanted to reply to that previous thread, but the website won't let me.
Thanks,
Seth
Do I unterstand right right?
You have some groups with a mesh (geometry inside) on top level.
Then you throw them into a sub group "screws".
Then you into this and get all back to the top level?!
Where's the bug?
(sorry, I didn't see the problem or understand the screen grabs in a wrong way)
The issue I'm having is that grouping or un-grouping objects throws them out of the order I had them. Even if I use Undo, the order is incorrect.
