Title: Whats the problem here with the black area? ;(
Post by: Bunsenbrenner on April 27, 2017, 06:28:02 PM
Hi friends,

I got a bug when loading a friends CAD file as you can see on the image 1 (its a simple .stp file, opened in Keyshot)

When Im uploading the file on https://a360.autodesk.com/viewer/   , everything looks normal as you can see on the image 2.

Whats the reason for this? Is it a bug? This makes me a lot of troubles right now.

This looks like a missing Face in the Geometry and it might be a bug.
Please make sure to update to the latest version of KeyShot to make sure you have the latest fixes.

If you are on the latest version and the issue still exists, you can send the file to support@luxion.com .
We can then have a look.

As a temporary solution while we investigate you can try to use an other file format for the import into KeyShot.

I my opinion, this is a translation issue. I would try to use another format like step or iges and play with the tesselation quality settings. Then you can check or uncheck the NURBS option.
I'm sure that you'll find the right way.

Do you use the fusion plugin?

Let us know if you need more help.
