Title: How was this ground object made?
Post by: fa2020 on May 18, 2017, 10:30:50 AM
Hi guys,
This is a great shot which I found in the gallery section. The woody ground took my attention and I wonder how it was made. Can any body tell me the procedure that such a ground object is made? Is it a pure Zbrush output?? Those woods are high-detailed and sharp even in close-up shot.

Most likely an image texture applied to a plane. there are a ton of places to get high quality image textures to use, combined with proper bump, specular and normal maps can get amazing results.

Don't forget the roughness textures :)

I'm betting it was downloaded from Poliigon:
