Title: Is there any way that Keyshot can do a scattering objects?
Post by: hnq1994 on May 24, 2017, 10:46:05 PM
Hi everyone,
Is there any way that Keyshot can do a random scatter objects like 3dsMax's scatter tools or Vray scatter or Corona scatter?
For example, I have a ground and I want to scatter some grass on to the ground surface. I can do it easily with 3dsMax but I don't know how to do the same thing with Keyshot. The pattern tool of Keyshot cannot do what I want. Hope you guys can help!
Thank you and sorry for my bad English :) !

You can do this using the pattern tool. This is an old video, but follow it to access the pattern tool, you have access to scattering at the bottom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUyW-Q3Q6pI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUyW-Q3Q6pI)

I might remember that there was a script for scattering.

Hope that helps
