Title: Importing Error from Rhino
Post by: dzplay on March 14, 2011, 12:15:36 PM
Hello all,

I have a strange error that has been mystifying me. Sometimes, when I import a rhino file, random parts are missing and not shown.

It's completely random. I've tried all kinds of things with layers, but I know its not that because sometimes, I would cut and paste the model into another RHINO file that I knew opened OK, and it would work.

However, this doesn't always work, and sometimes, it just won't show parts of the model.

I'm using rhino on mac, but that shouldn't matter.

does anyone have any ideas? ???

thanks

Are you importing it into a file that might have the same layer names as the Rhino file, and those layers are turned of in Keyshot? I do this a lot and think something isn't importing right only to find out it's turned off in the tree.

Also, if you are using Rhino 5, please keep in mind that it is not fully supported yet, since Rhino 5 is still in Beta. We are working on it.

yah, its probably because of the support thing. I guess we'll wait and see.

thanks!
