Is it being looked at for KS8?

The boolean material is not supported in KeyShot 7 yet.

Past discussion has revealed that the functionality is already available in the back end of the program, the problem is how to "reveal" that functionality to the user in a comprehensive and understandable way.

Is it an object? Is it a material based system? How does it handle the new surfaces? What about UV mapping that might be broken with the new surfaces? How do textures wrap? What about compound corner cuts?

I think I recall someone stating they were going to go for a material based setup, where the cuts and stuff would be a product of hiding geometry, not actually altering the geometry itself, but that presents its own challenges.
